I reckon I've done pretty well thus far in 2008 not mentioning The Weather, but, just like Britney being forcibly checked into a 5-star rubber room it had to happen sooner rather than later, right?
She hasn't slept for 3 days, apparently. Well that's still more kip than I've had this week pop-kids, let me tell you. So what could be responsible for this abject state of Sonic affairs, I hear you cry? No, not crystal meth, but two other words: The Weather.
Yes, Chez Sonique has been taking a real pounding by high-winds and rain, especially during the night - last night I really thought the roof was about to come off. I've had to resort to wearing ear-plugs as a result, just to get a little shut-eye.
Now I'm not about to launch into the Global Warming debate here, but every school-kid knows that climatic changes generally take place over centuries, or millennia. The Earth heats up or freezes over, and human/plant/animal-life perishes as a result. We're all mere prawns in Mother Nature's game after all.
So it follows that if any one of us can notice significant changes in weather patterns within our own lifetime, never mind a mere 10 years or so, then something is very definitely Up.
On a positive note my fellow prawns, Spring is on it's way. Hang in there.
