That Friday Feeling

Watching: The Filth & The Fury*
Like most people, I've always loved
Fridays. However this particular one finds Yours Truly strangely out of sorts. I'm not even working for The Man today so you'd think I'd feel all Fridayed-up, but no.
Whatever the case, I earlier found myself watching Julien Temple's great documentary of late
1970's Britannia*, which somehow seems appropriate to my present mindset. A return to simpler times is what I'm currently craving pop-kids. All grainy brown and quaint like. Well, not really, they were quite grim times for the UK, but I'm in nostalgia-mode here so just humour me. Apart from that, and getting dressed, I've achieved little today, thus far.
Actually, one thing I
have done is laid a trap for the window-cleaner.
Yes, you read it right dear reader. See, I'm pretty sure he's not been cleaning the windows of
Chéz Sonique on at least a few previous occasions that he's been paid for, but I hitherto couldn't prove it. Today he's due again, so I've smeared trace amounts of
Vaseline on various windows. Tonight he comes to collect his ill-gotten gains, so it might be a case of release the hounds. Plus, I'll be wanting that generous tip back he got at Christmas. I'll keep you posted.
As the late great Tommy Cooper once pronounced,
Hell is Other People, and how right he was.
Onwards™....
