Greetings citizens. This week finds me back in the City of Culture 2008 once again, and in a reflective frame of mind. Today's Doonesbury pretty much sums up the worldwide financial meltdown as far as I can see. Any non-Icelandic folk unfortunate to have stashed their hard-earned with these jokers will be making a bonfire of their Björk and Sigur Rós albums as I type. The whole world has gone topsy-turvy mes amis and, while I can, I'm hiding from it all.
So amid this chaos, how, you must be asking, am I spending my days? I'll tell you. Bear in mind that I'm in escapist back-to-the-womb-head-under-the-duvet mode. In no particular order then, my typical day currently comprises of: Spending ages reading the morning paper; watching Columbo; eating Lidl's own Licorice Allsorts; thinking about having a shower; watching forgotten classics of the 70's on Youtube; looking out the window (upstairs and down); getting knee-massage; thinking about what I'm going to eat next; having my ham-strings stretched; watching Judge Judy in case it's one I haven't seen before. You get the general picture...
